SIMPLE, INEXPENSIVE Organizing Clipboards

There are many times that organizing ideas just happen, and this is one of those times! I wanted something to hang up the schedules for each of my kids' activities but I didn't really want it out in the open. I've done file folder and they do fine, but I changed thing around since re-doing my command center recently and wanted to keep those papers close by me in my home office

Label Up!

I have been compensated by DYMO MobileLabeler to share my opinions.

If there is ever a tool that is important for organizing, it's a label maker! I love having a label maker. So, if you're getting ready to make a resolution and want a quality tool, think about how a MobileLabeler from DYMO would be so nice to have - for the professional organizer, the office worker, or just someone like me who labels all things necessary! It's got the potential to make labeling all those things possible and with style and class! So, it's time to Label Up!

That's one of my favorite ways to keep things organized. I just love the start of the year don't you?  After the busy holidays I am always eager to put away the decorations, clean house and get organized.  I love filling out my calendar and sorting through last year's papers to get rid of everything I don't need and I especially love how much more time I have to work on these things in the month of January. Today I'm going to show you my adorable, organized home office in my rental home.

Summer Tour of Homes {Organized} 2015

Welcome, if you are new here!

Today I have the privilege of joining a whole lot of amazing bloggers for home tours of all our homes - and you may have just come from seeing Donna of Funky Junk Interiorswho has such an amazing way of making rust look beautiful, and a big thank you to Gina of The Shabby Creek Cottage for hosting this awesome summer home tour.

I'd like to say that I feel that I have really created a home that is truly my style, after living in this home for nine years. I hope you enjoy my colorful,  slightly "modern with a vintage twist" decor. I'm not afraid of colors or patterns. Our home was built in 1947 and I love the character, the built-ins, the closets, and all the vintage that comes from having a home from that era. Hopefully you'll also gain some ideas for an organized home too!

How to Handle Paper Clutter

Today, I'm so excited to bring you a guest post from a sweet lady. Mary is a professional organizer and mother of four. She loves to organize, create, decorate and then blog about it at MaryOrganizes. Mary doesn't chase after perfection, her goals are a healthy home and happy life. She has amazing organizing skills and is here to help me out with all my back and forth traveling I've been doing. Now..let's handle that paper clutter before it controls us!

How to Handle Paper Clutter :: OrganizingMadeFun.com

If paper is your problem, you are not alone!

Laundry and Paper are the monsters of homemaking and are more similar than you realize. A good strategy for laundry maintenance can teach you a lot about how to solve your paper problem. Your dirty clothes go in a hamper until its time to wash it. It would be a waste of time and energy to wash each piece of laundry one at a time as it becomes dirty. I use my inbox as my paper hamper and I save time dealing similar types of papers (or loads) at the same time.

My Home Office Organizing

If spending up to 6+ hours a day in a home office doesn't sound fun, I can say that having it look pretty and being organized makes a HUGE difference in that time I spend. Granted, I DO spend a lot of time doing projects around my house - which is mostly what I blog about - so I'm not sitting all day there. But, for the many, many hours I AM  - it's so nice to look at a beautiful view!

I just needed more function for it. Last week I showed you a few of the pieces and things happening to get it into shape!

Updating my Home Office {Part 1}

My home office has been an important part of my blog, as I have used it daily to sit and write posts, edit photographs, make phone calls, return emails, and set up anything and everything blog related, etc. But, it's also become my "other" business place to store all kinds of information about essential oils, product guides, mailing packets, and much more. So, my amazing home office seems to just not be doing it anymore.

Before, the after before and more updating of my home office :: OrganizingMadeFun.com

Here is my office "before"{both before and the after before} -- I redid it three years ago. I love it. It has functioned well and looked great. I didn't want to work in an office that was boring or ugly. The desk, though, has been a thorn in my side for awhile. I painted the beast to help it look nice. But, I just don't like "hutch" part of it. It made me feel closed in. I also had no where to put my printer {also a beast} and paper shredder. So, my hubby made a printer stand out of two shelving units I got at Target for very little money.
