With spring officially here, I wanted to share a little of my front door decor! I can't wait to show you the whole front yard - which is 95% done - but it will have to wait a tiny bit longer before the big reveal. Today you'll get a little sneak peak.
My yellow front door is always what catches the eyes of visitors and people driving by - not to mention the dramatic blue color of our home.
And, since it's spring, all the windows are open welcoming in the fresh, cool air!
I got this darling boxwood wreath from Zulily last month. It is so beautiful on the yellow door, isn't it?
But, the boxwood is HEAVY - I mean seriously heavy. Our front door is steel and I usually use a magnet to hang wreaths on it. But, not this one. It was too heavy. I tried using an over-the-door wreath hanger but the front door wouldn't close because it was too thick on top. So, I rigged up this wreath hanger, using the magnet I usually use and some craft lace. I strung it over the door and then put the magnet just under the window ledge and it holds strong. It has been hanging up for nearly a month with the door opening and closing hard and it hasn't moved!
After the heavy boxwood was hung securely, I decided to dress it up for Easter. I used a chalkboard mini banner that I used at my Michael's class in January to print up the real reason we celebrate Easter - "He is risen indeed!" Do you have any decor on your front door? Do you change it out each season?
