Today is Day #13 of 31 days of spontaneous organizing! Today you get to organize your linen closet! Aren't you super, duper excited??
OK, so maybe not the most exciting, but it's essential. I've heard from some of you that you don't have a linen closet -- that's OK. Wherever you store you linens - meaning sheets and towels - this is where you need to get organized. I'm going to show you a bunch of ideas, so use these as suggestions.
First I want to show you how to properly fold sheets. Go HERE to see the full tutorial on how to do it properly, but it's important to know how so you can get your linens organized neatly.
Here's also a full tutorial on how to fold a towel neatly. Go HERE to see that.
I also now roll up all my beach towels for my kids to grab out of the linen closet quickly when they are headed out to swim.
I use baskets leftover from other things I used to use them for, that I put in the linen closet. I made chalkboard tags to separate by size. Each area is organized and easy to grab them from. You could do similar with cardboard boxes or {future} baskets that you may have somewhere else in your home. Labeling the sizes helps a lot.
One of my organized readers shared her linen closet, also with painted old boxes she used to keep them in.
Above, no baskets but just neat pile of sheets and towels.
If you have no linen closet, just use what you need to keep the linens in - designated area. Here is a cute cabinet turned into a linen closet.

D. Before and after pictures ARE preferred but not necessary - cause sometimes you start and are so excited you forget to take a "before" picture, right?
