Today is Day #8 of 31 days of spontaneous organizing! Today's mini-challenge is your nightstand! Pick the whole nightstand or night table or just one drawer that is in desperate need!
Here are my tips for organizing your nightstand or bedside table along with some pictures and inspiration. I have a nightstand with drawers, since I have a small master bedroom it acts as an extra place to use for more things that would go in a dresser and also for my important things I need nightly.
Decide what you really need on the tops of your nightstand. If you have drawers, keep it minimal - a clock and a lamp may be all you need. If you have a small night table, like below, you may need to keep it extremely minimal - clock and lamp.
If you have no drawers, consider using a basket or pretty box to hold necessities under or on top.
But, if you have a drawer, consider only putting necessary items inside that you need at bedtime - chapstick, Bible or book, lotion, maybe even a phone charger like the one I made. Just don't spend too much time, as this is 15 minute challenge.
You can take simple boxes or containers that were for other things and use to organize inside. I had some dollar store bins and jewelry boxes I used below.
