Now that we've got a new kitchen, I figured it would be important for me to get some new decor in there for Christmas, of course! I wanted to share how I decorated in there and maybe give you some ideas for your own home, too!
First, I want to share this picture of my inspiration:
I found this photo in a catalog that came to my house and I just loved the colors and inspiration - but I didn't like the price tag! So, I came up with something similar for my kitchen. I almost always have some sort of inspiration whenever I decorate.
Welcome to Christmas in the kitchen! I don't overwhelm my home in Christmas decorations, but we decorate ALL over our home. We have several Christmas trees - including on our deck, living room, family room, RV, and kitchen. All in various sizes.
I made this garland decor from a strand of green lighted garland I got at Hobby Lobby {used my 40% off coupon}.
Then I used a cheap turquoise {plastic} ornaments in a big pack and some pretty burlap-wired ribbon to make this beautiful garland above the coffee and wine bar cabinets.
I added small touches of Christmas around the kitchen,
including this "Joy" sign and some ornaments on my little scale.
Pretty angels, bells, more ribbon...
My biggest secret to making the kitchen fully ready for the Christmas season is diffusing my "Candy Cane" blend. I use 2-3 drops of Peppermint essential oil and 1 drop of Spearmint - WOW! You can't believe how much it smells like candy canes - yummy! Thanks for stopping by!
