With all that has gone on in the past months with our kitchen, I wanted to share some of the amazing products that I used and recommend for you to use also, should you decide to re-do a kitchen, update a bath, or just pin a few of your favorites.
I work with a lot of great companies and I was able to reach out to a few of them that I have worked with in the past to provide me with a few things for my kitchen. Other things are just fun finds that I found on my own and want to share my opinion about how it works and whether or not it was worth the money to purchase that products. So, I'm going to go through everything and hopefully answer all your questions about them.
Of course, the cabinets were provided to me from MasterBrand cabinets. I can't say enough good things about these cabinets - they are not your average "run of the mill" cabinets. They are quality made, Diamond Cabinets, and are considered semi-custom. This gave me the options of doing all kinds of amazing things in the kitchen that fit my odd kitchen layout {remember the basement door is in middle of the floor plan?}. The black shaker style was in my mind from the get go - so, putting all these cabinets and floating shelves that were in my mind into an actual design was amazing. The cabinets have quality in every way possible - solid wood, soft close drawers and doors, and the finish is amazing! I absolutely love the black - I never imagined that I would do black, but I was so tired of the white cabinets everywhere and that I'd had for 20+ years and jumped right in!
The hardware for my cabinets was from D. Lawless Hardware. This is the most beautiful hardware.
It really finishes the cabinets beautifully! I wanted something simple, yet elegant to go with the look of the black shaker cabinets.
The drawer pulls are also SO reasonably priced - it won't cost an arm and a leg to do a bathroom or the whole kitchen! You can find any of their hardware HERE on their website.
My kitchen faucet is also a dream. I have worked with Delta faucets for a couple of years and they have a high end line of faucets called Brizo. The Brizo is high quality and designer! I wanted a designer kitchen faucet, but one that was practical.
This has the Touch 2O technology - so I can just tap it ANYWHERE on the faucet and it turns off and on. Plus, I got Solna faucet it in the Black Matte so there's really no worry about fingerprints or water spots on it all the time. It always looks nice!
The lighting that I bought I'm very happy with, too! First the eye candy of the kitchen are these swing arm sconces I got from Rejuvenation. I looked and looked for this very style and found that I could completely customize. So, I was able to get the bronze metal swing arm sconce with a clear glass shade or with any color shade I wanted. It was pricey, but I knew that I wanted to splurge on this one purchase.
The other lighting that I love is our ceiling fans! I bought these at Home Depot - yes, they are ceiling fans! I needed ceiling fans in the kitchen - it's west facing and get terribly hot in the summer, especially. I didn't want all these blades to mess with. So, I found this classy looking ceiling fan from Home Depot - totally reasonably priced and also comes in bronze color. We love them - and they are super powerful!
My downdraft, gas cooktop is perfect for what I needed. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of these to choose from so you DO pay full price - they don't go on sale. But, Jenn-Air makes a really good one and it's well worth the price I paid for it.
My double ovens were also a big purchase, but I was able to get them for half price with free delivery during a sale they were having back in the spring. They sat in my garage for six months, but it was worth it! I wanted a double oven, 30 inches, double convection, double self cleaning - and I found that in the Kenmore Elite from Sears. I used Consumer Reports and learned which ovens were the best, and that's how I came to my conclusion!
The last lighting I got for the updated kitchen was from Joss and Main. I was looking for updated lighting that would be modern. I wanted a drum pendant chandelier and this one was perfect! It's really reasonably priced - got a great deal from them - and looks amazing, almost like a floating cloud!
I hope this helps you see where I got everything, and how much I like it. Honestly, I haven't regretted any purchase in this kitchen. Most of these ideas and more I have pinned on My New Kitchen pinterest board, where you can follow and find all the ideas I was looking at for putting the whole kitchen together. What is your favorite idea or product?
