Labeling in the Fridge

So, I have this idea that I want my fridge to stay fairly organized all the time. I know, it's really an impossibility, but it's a goal so I'm going for it!

This week I finally labeled my fridge! Eeek! I know, I'm a freak to some of you! But, it's working. Everything is getting back where it belongs!

I used my Cricut to cut out labels to blend in yet still be noticeable as to where everything goes.

Since I use pretty much these drawers with the same thing all the time, I labeled those.

I skipped some of the shelves, as I don't always put the same thing on them all the time. It's simple and may seem a bit much, but it just helps everyone {including all our visitors} know where to put things back! What do you think?

  1. Love this idea as the boys in my house rarely put things where they go and can also NEVER find anything (even though it's always right in front of them). I would love to try this but don't have a cricut. Any suggestions on how to label another way?

    1. You could probably either buy something through Etsy and have it customized OR you could print up something on your computer and laminate it and tape in your fridge.

  2. I'm sorry but I don't think you are a freak at all. When things are put back in their proper place it is easier to see what you need when you are going shopping or when you are cooking. My family could never understand why I put groceries away but now that they have their own homes, they understand my reasoning. I can look into my pantry and or fridge and within a few minutes know what I need. Keep up the good work.

  3. I LOVE it! I'd love to do the same thing. I decided it will probably have to wait until my husband and I are empty nesters though...LOL.

  4. LOVE this! I put our items back at the same place each time. I have a shelf for meats and casseroles - another one for veggies. (We really enjoy leftovers!) I know where each item goes - but not everyone else in my family does (like my dear hubby!! :) Loves the Labels!
