How is she getting so grown up now? My sweet little girl turned 9 yesterday! Aack! Of course, her room is now needing to grow up with her!
So, for Christmas and her birthday gifts we are re-doing her room.
She got a new duvet cover for her bed for Christmas. She picked it out -it's from Pottery Barn Teen. I didn't get a great deal on it or even free shipping! It's PB teen and those deals are hard to come by.
I contacted Cutting Edge Stencils a couple of months ago and asked them about their stencils and they happily sent me her choice of stencil for her room. And, they are going to offer YOU a chance to win {up to} a $50 stencil from their website.
But, first let me show you a few things we've gotten done on my Rachel's bedroom. We painted her walls a beautiful "Misty Gray" {Sherwin Williams}. She loves turquoise and so the gray makes her turquoise colors pop! She chose the above colors from the craft store as the colors she wanted for the stencil on her wall.
Here you can see what her boring wall looked like before and then after, with the pretty pops of color.
We even got her window done. It's an Ikea Expedit turned on it's side. We live a few blocks away from Ikea so that was an easy piece to get and add to her room. My mom {the amazing seamstress} made her the cushion for the top. I bought the pillows from Home Goods. Fun colors! I hope to share more of her room with you as I continue to work on it. There is a few things left to do in there, but it's coming along quite nicely!
