Yes, I really AM going to chat about hangers and how they are a big deal. Why would hangers be a big deal? Well, let me show you!
First of all, if you have a closet {which I'm betting just about all of you do}, you have hangers. You either have too many hangers with too many clothes in there or just enough. Either way, you have to think about it sometimes. I'm always getting emails asking me how to get more into your closet or organize a closet better. I have another great solution!
A while back I was at Costco and saw the most marvelous of hangers. Have you seen these before? They are the huggable hangers and they just do everything necessary to keep order and restitution in your closet!
I've been waiting for these to come back to Costco, but you can find them at Amazon or Target or Marshall's too. I bought them for my Hubby for his closet a couple of years ago and I regretted not buying them last year for mine when I saw them at Costco. Don't get me wrong: the wood ones are great! I bought a little at a time at Ikea and the 99 Cents Store over time. But, my I like how the velvet on these hangers keeps the shirts from moving and how they are so slim, and that they have a nice shape. {FYI - I gave all my wood hangers to my friend and so they weren't even thrown away}.
I bought three boxes {they were about $7.99 a box - how cheap is that?}. I stopped by K-mart on my way home and also to buy some clips that fit on these hangers.
When I added the clips, I was able to hang my maxi-dresses {strapless ones}, skirts, AND my boots! Getting my boots off the floor and up on the clothes rack works great!
Look at this before and after - OK, so it's not drastic, but believe me when I tell you that it looks really nice. The black velvet on the hangers really make the clothes pop and easier to see the colors. And yes, I also organize ALL my blouses by color!
You can see in the "after" photos that I have way more space in my closet now, too!
One thing I try to do every night is that I choose my outfit for the next day. For me, it just works best. I'm not good in the morning at waking up and choosing things. I seem to be better at night! What about you? Do you have any favorite kind that you want or use?
P.S. If you can't find this great deal at Costco, you can always shop for them on Amazon - HERE is a link for you!
P.S.S. To the many of you who left me comments yesterday about how much you love OMF and clicking over wasn't a big deal - THANK YOU!! You are all so wonderful and I am working to make OMF even better all the time!!
