A few days ago, I shared a post I saw on Good Housekeeping's Facebook page and the caption read "See how we helped bring order to this clutter home" with a picture of a room with a little clutter.
What surprised me was how quickly the responses happened and how many responded with the same thing - "that room isn't cluttered!" meaning that the clutter in the pictured room, above, wasn't all that bad! And, they are right! Yes, you got that - they are right!
I am not afraid of a little clutter - I have some in my own home. It's life. It's not pretentious. It's real. It's human. I never, ever want for any of you to think that having a perfect home is the only way to go. I cheat - I only "fake" that my home is immaculate. I am sorry if you're disappointed, but that's just how it is.
For me, clutter is distracting and it gets in my way, so I don't like it. But, it doesn't mean that I don't have it. I have found many ways to combat clutter, but I am careful to not let us "LIVE" in our house.
That being said, some of you are OVERWHELMED by clutter. There IS a difference. Clutter that takes 10-15 minutes to pick up is different than clutter that takes a week to pick up {or more}. If you are overwhelmed by clutter, here are a few options for you:

- Hire a professional organizer to help you sort through it or a bring an organized friend over to help you.
- Spend 15 minutes each day going through a little at a time.
- Use one of my many posts on "Clutter" to help motivate you. See below:
So, what do you think? Is clutter a big deal for you?
