They are inexpensive and organized!
My husband and I recently had the opportunity to go on a short trip to Portland, Oregon. He works in the credit union industry and is an executive there and sometimes things come up that we are privileged to attend. This particular event was fundraising for children's hospitals up in the Oregon/Washington area and it's a really fun and fancy event. Another company flew us up there and gave us tickets to attend. Well, every time I've had to do these events, I'm terrified to do my own make-up or hair - especially the make-up! I decided to finally get over it and I got an appointment at my local Sephora store with a beauty consultant/make up artist to teach me how to do a smokey eye...are you wondering where this is going? I wanted to look...
...like my age but up a few notches and without having to pay a ton to someone else to do my make up every time I go out to a nice dinner or fancy event. It was really fun and, after the nearly two hour session, she made a face chart with all the make up and where it goes and how it should look.
But, here is the thing, I need to have this thing handy to keep me organized when I set up all my make up - cause there is a lot - and use as a reference. To help get everything organized, I used products from the new Home Collection by Post-it® Brand, Scotch® Brand and Command™ Brands sent me their View and Go Pocket and I knew where I needed to put it! So, I put it on the back of my essential oils cabinet {and I LOVE using the back of the door for organizing} in my bathroom so that I could put my "make-up" face reference in it - plus, it's removable so I can take it with me when I travel and need to use it for reference {which I totally DO} and it won't get squished in my luggage!
Another product I love is the Command™ Clear Caddy on the back of one of my cabinet doors to hold chalk ink pens. It works SO nicely! I label the lids of my left-over containers with chalk ink, since it's erasable. I can date it so I know if it's been in the fridge too long. So, these clear caddies are an awesome way to do that much more easily - or I could put it on the fridge, too! There are several possibilities I can think of...
The last couple of products I want to highlight are things that help keep my teen organized - by communication!
I love this simple, but easy way to keep the cell phone off the counter and still charge it using the Command™ Smart Phone Station! Plus, it's easily removable, using the Command™ Adhesive Clear Strips, should I decide I don't like it here on the wall anymore. My teenage son has to keep his phone charged, but isn't allowed to keep it in his room to charge so this charging station near the kids computer is perfect.
And, if I want to remind him about something, I love these cute Post-it Reminder Tags! You can bet that I feel just a little more organized now...and everything is in it's place!
