Yes...I'm a glutton for punishment! Well, not really. I have seen so many women from my church who just can't afford clothing for themselves and many other women who have way too much clothing. So, I got this great idea. Why not get them to swap the clothing from those who don't need it, to those who do?

This month, each Wednesday, I'm going to take you on an organizing journey on how to plan a small or large FREE ladies clothing and accessory boutique. It's really not that hard, despite what many of my friends and church family think...but, then again, I enjoy organizing and enjoy seeing needs met!!
{about half the clothes stored in my garage}
Once I thought of the idea, I went straight to my hubby to ask his permission. This would cause him some incovenience of having to have clothing piled all over, not to mention having to get the kids out for two days (one for organizing and one for the actual event). He's so wonderful...just said "sure!"
{my wonderful hubby took my daughter & friend to the aquarium during the boutique}
Then, I began getting the word out. I decided I had to make it exclusive for our church members/regular attenders only - or I'd have all these strange people I didn't know show up in my home! I was also specific that I didn't want smelly, old & nasty, ripped up, or stained clothing. I wanted it washed and cleaned. I challenged the ladies to go through everything - clothing, shoes, purses, scarves, jewelry, and anything else they could find that they knew they really could do without, was too big/small, too many of the same things, didn't ever wear, etc.

The response? It was OVERWHELMING!! I'll tell you more about it next week!
