The clothes come in...Ladies Boutique {part 2}

If you recall last week, I told you about how I challenged all the ladies in my church to get rid of any clothing that didn't fit, they didn't wear anymore, or simply just had too much of.  We have a couple of ladies that started a free cycle group on Yahoo several years ago that is now nearly 200 people in that group.  I sent out my email to all of those ladies, all the ladies on my facebook friends that go to my church, and all of our Sunday School class.  I encouraged them to pass along the email and tell everyone else in their church groups - Bible Studies, Sunday School classes, women's groups - and get on the wagon!  The response was amazing!  They left stuff on my porch, in my van while at church, and even handed some to me!
I sent out weekly reminders to all the ladies so they would get motivated to get rid of their unneeded stuff!

 {This took up half my living room}

I stored things in my garage, basement, my son's closet, the shed...there was so much clothing, it took my son an hour (with his wagon) to bring it all in the house!

{My son worked so hard!}

 It was a bit overwhelming.  But, I had sent out the word that I needed a few things.  I asked for anyone who had clothing racks to donate them for the weekend, for a photographer to take pictures all weekend, organizers to help me organize, someone to help make signs, and hangers to be donated!  Every need was met!  Praise the Lord! The ONLY money I spent {personally} was for some clothing dividers I got on the internet for a quarter a piece and a chicken salad to feed all the hard workers lunch the Saturday before the boutique.

{My daughter putting all the hangers out}

 The great thing about something like this is that you don't do it alone! I literally did NOTHING with all the clothing that came into my house except stored it for several weeks.  The day before the boutique, we pulled it all out.  It would have been way too overwhelming to do that alone!  If you do something like this, be SURE to get lots of help!

{Me and one of my helpers about half-way through the pile}

{Great workers who organized everything with me}

I had about 12 ladies (2 high school girls) show up throughout the day to help me with the organizing.  Everyone worked hard.
My photographer even organized all the shoes
for me (thanks Meghan!).
{Piles and piles of clothing, jewelry,
shoes, and accessories to go through}

Next week, I'll show you all the areas that were organized and how everything turned out before the boutique even began!
