  1. I bought some smaller stockings--that makes filling them a lot easier. Instead having to have 15-20 items, these only hold about 8-10. With 5 kids, that means 30-50 less items. :-)

  2. Great ideas! My daughter is always so excited to get Starbuck's gift cards. I also refresh her make-up supplies so she can get rid of the ones that are nearly gone, didn't work out as she hoped, or have broken cases etc. This year I'm giving a Milani brow shaping kit since doing your brows is so in right now. And also fun-a one time cucumber mask.

  3. Fantastic ideas! I have a 9 year old - nail polish or lip glosses are lovely ideas! Also have you thought of smelly gel pens - something a bit different but nice a small!

I have handmade our stockings this year, check them out here and let me know what you think:

  4. Fill them with socks in between items, it takes up space. Some idease we like: post it notes, 1 boxed piece of jewelry (box takes up space), 1 large candy bar (takes up space), tea in a box, pack of favorite gum or mints, pack of highlighter pens, pack of colorful pencils or pens, bottles of nail polish or lip gloss/chapstick type items.
