31 Days to {cheaply} Organize Your Home: Day #26 - Hangers

Welcome to Day #26 of our 31 Days to {cheaply} organize your home.

OK...hangers are cheap! You can buy a dozen for a couple dollars, depending on what kind you get. You can get fancy or low-end plastic! What about those dry cleaner hangers that come with your dry cleaning? Either way, you can use hangers to organize, too!

I found this cute way to organize flip flops - quite creative for someone with a large collection of flip flops.  Being from Southern California, we live in flip flops a big portion of the year and can have quite a collection!

How about hanging scarves? This is such a simple and easy idea!

Maybe you have a pants hanger that you no longer need?  Organize your ribbon!

Last one I have...my friend, Julie, came up with this clever way to organize her boots! She took a skirt hanger with clips and clipped her boots!

Did you have any idea you could organize with hangers?

31 Days to {cheaply} Organize Your Home: Day #25 - Coffee Can

Welcome to Day #25 of our 31 Days to {cheaply} organize your home.

So, are you tired of all this organizing for cheap yet?  I'm NOT!  It's fantastic! It's amazing all the ways you can organize things for so little money! Today we're talking coffee cans! They come in a few sizes, so all of them make great ways of organizing.

This one I used in my paint cupboard to organize the foam brushes, but covering one in pretty paper would be a great way to incorporate it into your room to sit out in the open.

I have one under my sink, similar to the one above, and it holds the baggies I get from all kinds of packaging and the kids use them to pick up the doggie "doo."

My dad uses coffee cans to hold all his nails and screws for organizing at his work bench. Do you have any other ideas?

31 Days to {cheaply} Organize Your Home: Day #24 - Tackle Box

Welcome to Day #24 of our 31 Days to {cheaply} organize your home.

Tackle boxes, with all their little compartments, are PERFECT ways to cheaply organize something, especially if you have an old one lying around or pick one up at a yard sale or thrift store. Here it's organizing batteries:

And here, made into a sewing kit:

And another one used as an art cubby:

I'm planning on getting one to organize my daughter's beads she likes to use for making her jewelry! Have you ever thought about using a tackle box for organizing?

31 Days to {cheaply} Organize Your Home: Day #23 - Soapbox

Welcome to Day #23 of our 31 Days to {cheaply} organize your home.

Soap boxes {the kind for traveling soap} can seriously do some organizing! Imagine needing a small box to organize small toys or crayons to take with you to keep kids busy while at an appointment.

Source

This would help to keep them from getting all over your bag! Or, how about that small point and shoot camera? Keep it from getting messed up.
Source

I would say that organizing your deck of playing cards is a great way to stack them and keep them in order, too!  How about all those little beads your daughter uses? Stickers?

Source

Go into your travel stash and pull out that {unused} soap box and find a great place around your house that can use some organizing! What else could YOU use them for? I've got a ton of ideas!

31 Days to {cheaply} Organize Your Home: Day #22 - Shoe Organizer

Welcome to Day #22 of our 31 Days to {cheaply} organize your home.

Over the door shoe organizers aren't just for shoes!  Have you seen all the great ways to use them? I do not have any in my home, sadly, as we don't have a lot of doors left to put one on the back of because I already have mirrors or hooks but I am still trying to think of somewhere!

Source

What do you think of that one? They can hold toys, shoes, pantry items, crafts, school supplies....and much more!

Source

Wow, there's so many things to do with them! My daughter's teacher uses one in her classroom for organizing school supplies...similar to this one.

Can you imagine the endless possibilities?? Do you have any shoe organizers behind your doors in your home? What do YOU have them organizing?

31 Days to {cheaply} Organize Your Home: Day #21 - Shoe Boxes

Welcome to Day #21 of our 31 Days to {cheaply} organize your home.

Shoe boxes are great! The plastic shoe boxes {usually around $1-2 at Costco, Walmart, or dollar store}  can be used like this to organize like I did with my dog washing area next to the basement sink:

Or paint supplies in the paint cabinet:

Or lots of toys in the kids' rooms.

The possibilities are really endless. Use them inside a drawer, whether plastic or not, or just the ones your shoes came in, for great organizing. Shoe boxes are a great, cheap solution!

Here is an amazing amount of them used to organize a sewing room. How do you use shoe boxes?
