A trip of love...

We started a tradition about seven years ago of going to the snow every February.  Remember, we live in Los Angeles where we have no snow...so this is our opportunity to "live" in the snow for several days a year {without having to LIVE in the snow}. We are fortunate enough to live only a couple of hours from the snow....

 I love to pray.  It's the way I am able to talk with God.  I read my Bible each morning at 5:30 AM before I head on my morning walk.

So, I spotted this type of chair and really wanted one!  However, after looking around for it, I was somewhat shocked that flea markets and even Craig's list was listing something similar for $100!  Seriously?  It's old, but it's not worth that much.  So, I sent out a picture of what I wanted to my trusty freecycle group from church...told my friends if they spotted one at a garage sale, if they had one in their house, or just saw one around to let me know!

I have another closet to show you that a dear friend from high school sent me.  She follows my blog and is now living on the other side of the United States!  Anyway, she sent me her craft closet transformation!

I admit it....it WAS an infomercial that hooked me!  Seriously, I never watch them but for some reason it got me! I put this on my Christmas list over a year ago - the Shark pocket steam mop! And I LOVE it!

California living....my garden in bloom!

Yes, I must admit that living in California has it's perks! It also has it costs, though {smog, traffic, and high cost of living}.  One of my joys is working in the garden, which is what I have been doing the last couple of weeks, when I've had the chance.  The first daffodils have sprung up in my front yard...

How I organize{d}...my weight-loss {and maintenance}

This one is probably my most personal post yet...although the one about feminine products is up there!  I'm going to share with you my ups and downs of my weight since being married to my Sweetheart in 1994 and how, only by God's grace, I got myself organized and lost the weight!  Here is where I will begin, my wedding day:

July 8, 1994 - I weighed 145 pounds
And yes, my wedding organizer said I was her most organized bride ever!
