What to do with all those Christmas cards....

Admit it.  You have no idea each year what you should really do with those Christmas cards. Do I keep them?  Do I throw them out?  Should I keep them out all year?  Aaahhh! What do you do?

Here's a few ideas of what you can do with them.

Recycle them:  If you have a person around you who likes crafts {or yourself}, you can take them and give that to them.  In my freecycle group {through my church}, one lady asked for all our old Christmas cards to use for a craft for next year in the jr./sr. high department progressive dinner.

Pray for them:  Here's an idea from a friend from church.  She takes them and puts them in a little photo album.  She then takes one each day and has her children pray for that family.  At the end of the year, you can clean out the album and start a new one with the new cards.

Post them up:  I do this every year.  We get so many pictures!!  I love them, though.  It's my favorite part of Christmas cards.  I tediously cut each one out - so that the "Merry Christmas" part is cut off and just the family is showing {if it's possible}.  I have a large bulletin board in my back entry and I load it up every year with all the pictures.  It's amazing how many people STOP when visiting my house to see all my pictures.  It's also amazing how people realize that we know some of the same people or haven't seen some of these Christmas card friends in years and start a conversation asking about them. {And, yes, I throw them out each year when I take them down! Sorry, but I just can't keep them all every year}.

What do you do?  Whatever you do, make sure you don't let them pile up year after year and feel guilty for throwing them out.  You must do what works for you.
